With nearly 4,000 works of art, Mural Arts Philadelphia is the nation's largest public art program. Between 50-100 murals are created annually, often with the help of Philly's at-risk communities – including prisoners at the largest maximum prison in Pennsylvania. Mural themes include: social issues, mental health issues, memorials, criminal justice reform, celebrities, culture, and lots of sports. It also has restored the mural, We the Youth, artwork created by Keith Haring. For more episodes of Secretly Awesome, visit Localish.com.
