Single Parents is coming to ABC this fall! This ensemble comedy follows a group of single parents as they lean on each other to help raise their 7-year-old kids and maintain some kind of personal lives outside of parenthood. The series begins when the group meets Will, a 30-something guy who's been laser-focused on raising his daughter at the expense of his own life. The group bands together to get Will out in the world and make him realize that being a great parent doesn't mean sacrificing everything about your own identity. The Single Parents premiere date is WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 26 10|9c.

The Single Parents cast includes Taran Killam as Will, Leighton Meester as Angie, Kimrie Lewis as Poppy, Jake Choi as Miggy, Marlow Barkley as Sophie, Tyler Wladis as Graham, Devin Trey Campbell as Rory, Mia Allan as Emma, Ella Allan as Amy, and Brad Garrett as Douglas.
"When you're a single parent, you want to try to co-parent," says Garrett. As Will says in the pilot, "It takes a village." (Even though the rest of the group hates that phrase.) If you try to do too much on your own, the group posits, you'll end up in "deep in the vortex," with no sense of self, which isn't good for anyone. Or as Meester's Angie says in the first episode, you "just try and survive until a time in the day when it's appropriate to open wine." Writer/producer JJ Philbin says that it's like these people are "in a foxhole together." Garrett added, "[Single parents] are thrown into a social group according to who your kids hang out with." Much of the show is straight from the lives of the producers, and Meester can vouch for its authenticity: "The things that I find the funniest about the show myself, are things that I can relate to as a parent."
