More to Chew On: Daphne's Leftover Breakfast Tips

By The Chew Crew | Oct 8th, 2013

Got leftover egg shells from this morning’s omelet? How about some extra coffee? Before tossing your breakfast leftovers, check out Daphne’s new uses for usual breakfast items:

Leftover Coffee: Like your coffee strong but can only drink one cup? Why not put the rest of it to good use glossing up your dark hair? Yep, that’s right – coffee helps give your dark hair a glossy look. Simply apply the leftover coffee to clean, dry hair, leave it on for at least 20 minutes, and then rinse. Keep it up once a week for the best results.

Egg Shells: Turn to your trash into relief from dry, itchy skin. Just place two halves of an eggshell in a jar and cover with apple cider vinegar. In a day or two, the eggshell will dissolve, leaving behind its calcium and minerals. Apply this to irritated skin as well as to sore, aching muscles.
