Ham and Cheese Puff Pastry Pinwheels
  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)
  • 1 block cream cheese (softened, 8 ounces)
  • 2 tablespoons butter (softened)
  • 3 sprigs thyme (leaves only)
  • 1/2 cups gruyere (shredded)
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground clove
  • 1/2 cup ham (thinly sliced)
  • 1/2 cup green olives (chopped, for garnish)
  • 1/2 orange (zested, for garnish)
  • honey (for garnish)
  • kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
  • Preheat oven to 400ºF. Line baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a medium bowl, add the cream cheese, butter, thyme, gruyere, clove, and season with Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper and mix to combine.
  • On a floured surface, place the thawed puff pastry. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the puff pastry. Add the ham evenly over the top.
  • Beginning with the short side of the pastry, roll to seal. Cut into 10 slices and place cut side down on the baking sheet. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden and crispy. Remove from the oven and allow to cool on wire baking rack for 10 minutes. Garnish with chopped olives, orange zest and a drizzle of honey.
  • Helpful Tip: if you don't have puff pastry, use pie dough or rolled out white bread.
