Seaside Crab Dip
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 lemon (zested, juiced)
  • 1-2 teaspoons Louisiana-style hot sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons shallots (peeled, finely diced)
  • 4 teaspoons chives (finely chopped)
  • 1/2 (4.5-ounce) can chopped green chiles (drained)
  • 1 medium tomato (seeded, chopped)
  • 1 pound lump crab meat (shells picked through)
  • whole grain fiber crackers (to serve)
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
  • In a large bowl, add the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon zest and juice, Louisiana-style hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Whisk until smooth. Add the shallots, chives, chopped green chiles, chopped tomatoes, season with salt and pepper, and mix to combine. Add the crab meat and gently fold in until just incorporated. Serve with crackers.
  • Tip: If making for a party, serve with your favorite mix of dippers like crudite, tortilla chips or crostini!
