From executive producers Elizabeth Craft, Sarah Fain and Marcia Clark, The Fix follows Maya Travis (Robin Tunney), an L.A. district attorney who suffers a devastating defeat after prosecuting an A-list movie star for double murder. With her high-profile career derailed, she flees for a quieter life in rural Washington. Eight years later, when this same star is under suspicion for another murder, Maya is lured back to the DA's office for another chance at justice.
Marcia Clark is a best-selling author and criminal lawyer who began her career as a criminal defense attorney, going on to become a prosecutor in the L.A. District Attorney's Office in 1981. She spent 10 years in the Special Trials Unit, where she handled a number of high-profile cases, including the prosecution of stalker/murderer Robert Bardo, whose conviction for the murder of actress Rebecca Schaeffer resulted in legislation that offered victims better protection from stalkers as well as increased punishment for the offenders. She was also lead prosecutor for the O.J. Simpson murder trial.
In May 1997, her book on the Simpson case, Without a Doubt, was published and became a No. 1 best-seller on The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, Los Angeles Times and Publishers Weekly best-sellers lists. She is also the author of other books such as Blood Defense, Moral Defense and Snap Judgment, which was released in fall 2017; and the four bestselling legal thrillers featuring prosecutor Rachel Knight – The Competition, Killer Ambition, Guilt by Degrees and Guilt by Association.
