Sam LernerGeoff Schwartz
Sam Lerner can be seen returning this fall as a series regular to ABC's The Goldbergs as the lovable Geoff Schwartz. Lerner also plays character Ronnie in Blumhouse's new film, Truth or Dare, starring Lucy Hale and Tyler Posey. Lerner got his start in show business at the age of 9 after he happened to strike up a conversation with actress/director/writer Ellen Gerstein and Dot-Marie Jones at a New Year's Eve party he was attending with his family. He signed with a talent manager, and before long he was alternating auditions with school, baseball, basketball, Hebrew School and skateboarding.
Lerner's big break came when Barry Levinson cast him in the movie Envy, which starred his favorite actors Ben Stiller and Jack Black and gave him a chance to work with Rachel Weisz and Amy Poehler. Soon after, he booked his first television pilot. He has voiced the character Zak Saturday in Jay Stephens' cartoon show The Secret Saturdays, recurred on the ABC series Suburgatory as the nerdy but cute brainiac Evan, and starred in the independent film Walk of Fame, Paramount's Project Almanac, Lifetime's Lethal Seduction and the recently released Fun Mom Dinner. Over the course of his young career, he has worked with legendary producers, including Steven Spielberg, Robert Zemeckis and Michael Bay, and for such directors as Levinson, Brett Ratner and Gil Kenan.
