Gideon Reynolds

Judge Biography

Gideon Reynolds has been inventing since the age of three. With two engineers as parents, it is no surprise that Gideon loves to solve problems and create solutions. His inspiration comes not only from his parents, but also his nine-year-old brother – a gifted inventor with two provisional patents. Gideon is energized by exploring how to make everyday nuisances "anything but." Gideon even has a book of inventions with of ideas he hopes to execute someday. To him, every challenge is a new opportunity, and there is no such thing as impossible.

Gideon's whimsical personality and love for engineering and science landed him an appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" in April 2017.  On the show, Gideon demonstrated one of his latest inventions—"No Leak Goggles." He first demonstrated the frustrations of your typical, leaky goggles in a pool, coming up with water in his eyes and exclaiming, "Seriously!" This had Ellen DeGeneres in stitches, and the audience collectively cracked up.

Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, Gideon also enjoys having fun, playing pranks and making people laugh. He is a fan of trading card games, super-heroes and science fiction.
