Actor Biography

Freddie Stroma stars as H.G. Wells in Time After Time, the drama chronicling the adventures of a young H.G. Wells as he travels through centuries, decades and days in the pursuit of the charismatic (yet secretly psychopathic) Dr. John Stevenson, better known as "Jack the Ripper."

Stroma is well-known for starring as the British playboy suitor Adam Cromwell on the Lifetime original comedy UnREAL. He also appeared on the sixth season of the Emmy Award-winning HBO series Game of Thrones.

In film, Stroma was last seen opposite John Kraskinski in director Michael Bays' 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi, released by Paramount Pictures. The political thriller is based on the 2013 book, 13 Hours, by Mitchell Zuckoff, which follows the true story of six members of a security team who fought to defend the American diplomatic compound in Benghazi, after the attack by Islamic terrorist on September 11, 2012.

In 2015, Stroma was seen in the hugely successful United Kingdom feature film Inbetweeners 2, along with the Vicious Brother's feature Extraterrestrial, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in April 2014. Stroma is well known for his role in the Universal feature hit Pitch Perfect, with Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson. He recently worked on the independent feature After the Dark, opposite James D'Arcy and Rhys Wakefield, which premiered at the 2013 Berlin Film Festival.

Other credits include the co-lead role opposite Lucy Hale in A Cinderella Story, and Stroma generated huge attention and became a fan favorite for his role in Warner Bros.'s Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, in which he played Cormac McLaggen, the handsome and arrogant rival of Ron Weasley. Stroma has also appeared on several series for the BBC and Noel Clarke's independent feature

He currently lives in Los Angeles.
